Delete your Adagu account or data

Adagu — Gold Loan Manager is published by Consign IT Private Limited (Consign.Tech). Adagu accounts belong to the staff of a pawnbroking shop and are created by that shop’s owner. Here is how to have an account, or data about you, deleted.

Delete a staff account

  1. Ask your shop owner to remove you: in Adagu, Users → your name → disable the account. This takes effect immediately.
  2. Or write to us at [email protected] from the email address you sign in with, with the subject “Adagu account deletion” and your shop code (the first part of your shop’s address, e.g. saro in saro.adagu.consign.tech). We confirm with the shop owner and complete the request within 30 days.

What is deleted

  • your sign-in (email and password), trusted devices and active sessions;
  • your name and email on the account, and your notification settings.

What is kept, and for how long

Pawnbroking records are the shop’s statutory books. Pledges, receipts, ledger entries and the audit trail showing which staff member recorded them are kept by the shop for as long as Indian law requires (the Tamil Nadu Pawn Brokers Act, tax and company law — generally eight years or more), even after a staff account is deleted. Only your name remains on those records, as the person who made them.

Delete data about you (customers and others)

If you are a customer of a shop that uses Adagu, the shop decides how your records are kept — please ask the shop first. You can also write to [email protected] with the subject “Adagu data deletion”, the shop’s name and the mobile number you gave the shop; we pass the request to the shop and help them act on it within 30 days.

  • Deleted on request: photos, ID and address proofs and contact details that are no longer needed for an open pledge.
  • Kept: records of pledges, payments and redemptions that the pawnbroker must keep by law, for the legally required period (generally eight years or more), after which they can be deleted.
